Jermaine O’Neal out two weeks, will need surgery at some point

Jermaine O’Neal will not be returning to the lineup for the next couple weeks, which — given trade rumors that have floated O’Neal to numerous cities — means it’s possible he never suits up for the Boston Celtics again. Forgive me while I go cry myself to sleep, listen to Celine Dion songs and briefly regret the brief time I spent as an Alanis Morissette fan.
Danny Ainge told the Boston Herald that O’Neal received a cortisone shot in his wrist and will wait until some pain alleviates before returning.
“He’s going to need surgery at some point,” said Ainge. “But he’ll play with it for now. He needed the surgery last season but wanted to play. Now, though, they think he’ll be ready to play in another 10 or 14 days.”
Godspeed to O’Neal during his recovery from this trying wrist injury that doesn’t seem to go away, but Chris Wilcox’s additional minutes are a welcome sight, at least to me.

I think wilcox should take Jo Neal’s spot if he’s out for a little because when they play the bucks wilcox played great ball.
