Celtics Vs. Nets: Boston Buries New Jersey, 107-94

Boston Celtics, I don’t even know you anymore.
Back above .500? Blowing out a cellar-dweller? Not letting the Nets back in the game after an 18-point halftime lead? Rajon Rondo talking to reporters shortly after the game?
I could get used to aggressive, double-double machine Kevin Garnett again, or 35 team assists (13 from the Kentucky cancer, mind you). Of course, I shouldn’t. The Celtics will probably will get blown out on national television against the Knicks on Sunday and Chris Broussard and Steven A. Smith will report “sources” that Danny Ainge is in exploratory trade talks regarding Jeremy Lin and Rajon Rondo. Oh well, I’ll enjoy this one tonight.
P.S. How did Danny Ainge let Gerald Green get away!! All he needed was some time and good coaching!! Did you see that alley oop??

Okay, good job in essentially calling this game a fluke and saying that we still suck. Sooo supportive. And I never understood why people get their panties in a bunch because Rondo doesn’t talk to reporters much. Would you if you were in his situation? How about the rebounding? PP finally getting on his game? The fast break points, turnovers, great defense, great offensive efficiency? Stop being pessimistic. We can beat the Knicks.

Jay, I could be proven completely wrong on Sunday, but it looks to me like Rajon had done some very serious thinking about rebuilding his game with tougher man defense as the foundation. I think that if he really sticks to that program, we will indeed have turned a corner, especially if he and Pierce can stay on the same page, as they seemed to be tonight.

True. See Paul this is what we’ve been saying. 14 points, 13 assists, 5 steals. Now THAT’s the Rondo we need.

That’s exactly what is needed as that’s almost a perfect game by RR. Why is Dooling taking 10 shots? I’d rather EM get his minutes. And congrats on limiting the offensive rebs given up. Much better all-around effort. Now the real test comes Sunday to gauge this group’s progress. RR is here to stay and I am so happy! Go Cs…

We actually won the rebounding game tonight. Now if Rondo can run circles around Derron Williams, I’m anxious to see how he fairs against Lin. His defense and Bradley’s defense will suffocate him and Baron Davis. All we gotta do is keep the rebounding game competitive and contain Anthony. Stoudemire isn’t getting points like he used to, and JR Smith is susceptible to good defense. The rest of the Knicks team is the same as last year.

That’s what I’m looking for – for Rondo and Bradley to really go after the Knicks’ guards.

I’d like to see Rondo get at least 14 points every night. It amazes me that you guys still refuse to see that our scorer who is most able to attack a defense IS RONDO!!!! We need him to do that, and we need it to start early.

Greg, Rondo took five shots in the first quarter and hit none of them but didn’t stop firing. THAT is the Rondo we need. Establishing Rondo as our primary offensive ‘weapon’ is key for us, BECAUSE HE’S ONLY OUR BEST PLAYER.

Not trying to speak for Jay King, but I think he might of been sarcastic about the Knicks beating the C’s, and the ESPN hype machine trade talks elevating after a Celts loss.
Knicks couldn’t blow out a candle.

Great game. KG put up KG numbers tonite. Good contributions all round and good to see the guys taking some R an R midway thru the fourth to see the results of the hard work. That’s how it should, you go out, play hard and build a sizeable lead and chill rather than have to push s–t up hill to get a win. Let’s go CELTICS.

Agree with whoever asked why Dooling is playing instead of Moore. But on that note, assuming the C’s keep Ray Allen, it’s time to make him the sixth man. Starting Pietrus and Garnett and Bass with Rondo makes for a speedy team that can score AND play great D. And think of the scoring punch with Allen coming off the bench? He could’ve taken those 5 three pointers today that Dooling missed. This team is finding its chemistry. I hope Ainge doesn’t screw things up with bad trades. let the season finish; give the big 3 one more run

I was one that has been calling for RA to come off the bench (and Dooling to be gone) and hopefully Doc tries that, as this line-up has some punch at the start and that sets the tone for the game usually. Hate to see us continue to dig out of big deficits, etc. We’re getting it together and tomorrow’s game will tell a lot. Go Cs..

I notice that Jay makes a point of sneering at rumors here. I find that quite strange. So Jay, we are supposed to believe that just because Doc and Danny deny rumors, that those rumors are untrue? I don’t believe those journalists any more than I believe Danny and Doc, and vice versa. But keep sneering about rumors. It seems to be the popular pose for bloggers to take right now.

At least Jay sneers at them instead of buying into them feet first, as you have been guilty of. Logic just dictates that most are dumb as if the Cs talent at their advanced age could bring young stud talent. Ain’t happening! My advice is don’t believe anyone until something tangible happens. Go Cs..
