Jermaine O’Neal considering season-ending surgery

If you expected Jermaine O’Neal to recover seamlessly from injury, you’re probably the type of person who looks at a half-filled glass of water and sees Mila Kunis naked, begging you to come have fun. O’Neal’s injury, of course, is worse than expected, and let me advise you — YOU WILL NEVER GET MILA KUNIS! SHE’S MINE!!

Season-ending surgery is one of three options O’Neal is considering as he attempts to heal from a wrist injury that was initially suffered last season. (Gary Washburn Twitter/Sulia)

Jermaine O’Neal said he’s got three choices: 1) take a cortisone shot, 2) a minor wrist surgery or 3) season-ending wrist surgery. He is still pondering his decision and hasn’t had the shot yet. He is going to make his decision in a few days. Said injury is more serious than expected.

Of course O’Neal is considering season-ending surgery one day after he was supposed to return in two weeks. I would say that season-ending surgery, if it happens, would be enough to keep O’Neal’s name out of most trade talks, but any team acquiring him probably knows he’s a mannequin on most nights regardless.

JO has played pretty good considering the injury, Jay. And how did you know that’s how I look at life? Kunis is hot and good luck in your pursuit. Go Cs…

Hidden due to low comment rating. Click here to see.

Jermaine has been a good BACKUP for two years now. But he’s been forced into the starting role by an idiot.

Well he wasn’t doing much for the Celtics anyways. At this point in his career, he is more of a backup than anything else rather than a starter that Boston has him as

You’ve definitely right about him being of little use to the C’s now. Taking playing time away from Stiemsma, who needs the experience to be ready when playoff time comes, is actually hurting them, IMO.

Well, I certainly am grateful to JO for making me forget all about Perkins, that scrub, whose team has crashed and burned, unlike us…

They were trading for his contract anyway, whether or not his season is over.

If the Celtics can negotiate facilitating the buyout by adding cash the transaction. Teams looking to shed cap space next year would be interested, since they’d probably not have to give up anything else.

Of course, that means you’re taking on a player who has money committed, and isn’t a real asset to their team. In other words, you can only get a bad contract.

Well this isn’t good news. Paul, you’re retarded if you think Perkins is the reason his team is good. All this means is Wilcox HAS to step up. And we need to get Javele McGee.

I agree. Stupid move to have JO starting when he has had so much injury. It’s just brainless. I think now is the time to look at shipping him outta town.

JO is over rated and at this stage garbage! His time has come an gone.A waste of 6 million dollars.Never should have brought him back,M.Daniels also! The Celts will have 8.5 million by letting both of them go.

JO isn’t absolutely useless. His numbers are identical to Perkins, who by some people’s standards is 10x better than Bill Russell and Wilt combined.

C`s waived J.O`Neal if he`s out for the season. C`s trade Wilcox,Johnson, & 1st round pick to Washington for J.McGee by Wednesday.
