I love Ray Allen’s part in this play. Toss the ball to Rondo, set a screen for him, run deceptively to corner and wait for killer pass. Nice synergy, one player keying off the other player’s strengths, making both players more powerful. We didn’t see this earlier in the year, I think.
And I was fascinated by commenters complaining about Rondo being too flashy after this play! Wow. That play drew the defense perfectly and threaded the pass past Thompson’s ear – it’s effectiveness raised it from showing off to art.

Sometimes I love to hear the commentary on road games. Last year, when we were in New York, the guys were joking about Delinte West’s behavior problems, namely his fight with depression. And then we beat then by 20 points. Love it. Oh I read this article yesterday about possible trade targets and this one guy said Rondo is a “marginal point guard at best”. Laughable I know.
