Nuggets 98, Celtics 91: Faried

I covered the Massachusetts high school boys basketball state championship tonight, so I still haven’t seen the game yet. Which is why I’m a little confused that Marquis Daniels played more minutes (20) than any other Celtics reserve, Ray Allen notched just seven points in 42 minutes, and Greg Stiemsma did not have a quadruple double.

It sounds like the Celtics rebounded really well again.

Just kidding. Kenneth Faried = monster.

While this is frustrating, the only things we need to worry about at this point is 1) Either get a big man in free agency or play JJ some more and 2) Hold down the 7th spot in the playoffs because we matchup a lot better with Miami than we do with Chicago. If we could move up to 6th or 5th that would be even better, because we’ve beaten Orlando twice already and Indiana as well.

Danny Ainge just wasted 2 seasons of the big 3… Last year and this year.

Getting rid of Perkins was dumb… You always need a big guy in the middle. So next year Danny can go out and try to build a championship team but unless he gets Howard, Bynum or Hibbert he will always be searching for a Perkins type guy as the final piece to the puzzle. We could have kept Rondo and Perk as part of the rebuilding and at the same time the current team can still compete… The 3 happiest guys on the planet when Perk got traded were D Wade, Lebron James and Derek Rose.
