Celtics 100, Bucks 91: Team win

Paul Pierce passes Clyde Drexler for No. 26 on the NBA career scoring list. Kevin Garnett, Brandon Bass and Rajon Rondo register double-doubles. Greg Stiemsma and Avery Bradley leave enormous handprints on Boston’s defensive effort, especially in the decisive fourth-quarter run. Mickael Pietrus hits a few from outside. Keyon Dooling “erupts” for eight points.
A full team win, on the road, against a Milwaukee Bucks squad that’s making a playoff push.
The Celtics are now 4-3 during the road trip from hell.
Love it all.

Great win. Really great rebounding, except the bench can do better (out rebounded 21-10) and especially MP and KD. Take that Hollinger and rotate on that win! Go Cs…

I’m more concerned with inside scoring. Don’t have the stats, but we got killed there. That’s where Hollins and whoever else can step in and add some support.

Now THIS is a testament to how good this team is. The Bucks stayed in this one, and we weren’t able to pull away till the 4th. See James, I don’t disagree with you on the power and importance of rebounding. All I’m saying is that effort doesn’t beat size. Just imagine what we can do with a 7 foot guy like Hollins and maybe Sheed. Those guys giving effort + our current guys giving effort = better and more consistent basketball from our team. Amazing to see guys like Dooling and Pietrus step up and get it done. Dude when was the last time Pietrus scored in double figures?? I mean, I know the Bucks aren’t exactly the Bulls, but still, a good win is a good win. We’ll see how this translates into tomorrow night when we try to redeem ourselves in Philly.

Yes, but without effort then PP doesn’t get 9 rebs. When did that last happen? Well here are some very telling stats about when PP rebounds more than 7 a game and our record this year…
We have 2 losses when PP had 7 rebs and 9 rebs (Lakers bs game that we should have won) and in games where he had at least 7 this season…of those 9 games we have 8 wins. So please understand why I get on PP and all the Cs to rebound better. The stats are very telling. Yes, we need more bigs to clog the driving lanes and help with offensive rebounding but QUALITY ones. Go Cs…

I agree the energy comes and goes with us. But fortunately. It’s coming at the right time. I know 4-3 isn’t as good as 5-2 or 6-1 but I’ve seen some promising signs that we are genuinely getting better. My thing is, now that we have Hollins and whoever else, our starters don’t have to expend so much energy to get down low and get rebounds. We need them a fresh and healthy come April as we can get them.

Terrific win. And that’s with Ray shooting 1-8. Pietrus is getting his stroke back, which is a huge plus. We need his scoring to go with his D. Steimsmas playing well and I can’t wait to see if Hollins can contribute in a way that impacts. Go C’s. Beat Philly and they are the 4th seed tomorrow.

Yeah, I don’t know why Sheed doesn’t make another run with the C’s. He could definitely help this team. 4-3 is better than 3-4. Good play from the Celts. Paul Pierce is such a legend.
