Celtics 88, Hawks 86: The most resilient crew Doc Rivers has ever coached
Much more to come later/tomorrow, but I’ll let Doc Rivers take it for now:
“It just says we have great character; tough-minded group,” he said of the win. “They really are. You could see they wanted to win that game so bad, and you could see the way we played.”
“I think this team has a resolve about them that allows them to stay in games that other teams would let go of the rope,” Rivers continued, adding when asked if it’s the most resilient team he’s ever coached, “Yeah, it is. Definitely here, for sure. I had one in Orlando my first year, but we couldn’t win any games, we hung in a lot of games. This team, they’re just tough. I don’t know why. I wish I actually knew. There are always theories. Once we went small it was like, ‘Guys, this is who we are and this is who we have to be the rest of the year.’ And they bought into it.”

The core 4 won a title and that is what motivates them. They want more. Hopefully, injuries will stay away and they will be allowed to compete at full strength again in the playoffs. And how about that rebounding? See, all it takes is effort and heart and those two qualities are driving this group to a potentially great title run. your asking yourself did the refs have money on the hawks?probably not,its all part of the nba/david stern conspiracy to make sure the heat or the bulls are the champs.they sell way more merchandise than the celtics.and there are way more teenage boys jackin it with lebron and rose posters over theyre bed.

I don’t know about LeBron being so popular. That dude is probably the most hated in the league. Sad but true as LBJ is a great player. The man just made a habit of putting his foot in his mouth.

I hear ya. Anybody who has a brain about basketball would know that LBJ f—ed up by sayin the Heat would win 7 titles however you can’t take away his talent and that the young gen love watchin a highlight reel. LET’S GO CELTICS!!!
