Celtics 94, Bobcats 82: And those are the Charlotte Bobcats

The moral of the story: The Charlotte Bobcats are one of the worst NBA teams in history, and the Celtics — even without any of their three surefire Hall of Famers — aren’t.

I haven’t watched the game yet due to outside work obligations, but when I get to it late tonight I look forward to observing the continued development of Avery Bradley’s offensive game.

I did watch the game and they played hard tonight. Wish we could’ve seen more of Moore and JJ, but oh well. Steimsma, Bass, Rondo, Bradley were great. Those four guys could carry them past the Bobcats every night of the week.

MICHAEL PIETRUS, however, should not be playing the NBA, nor should Dooling. They cannot the shoot the ball well enough to collect paychecks as pro basketball players. Yeah, I know MP hit 3 3 pointers tonight, but it took him 10 tries, most of them wide open bricks. And yeah, I know MP is a solid defender and does a lot of great things, but his poor shooting is a liability come playoff time. I hope Ray comes back soon to take up MPs minutes off the bench. MP should only be used in defensive situations. I’d much rather see Moore get MPs minutes; he can only shoot a wide open jumper.

No, that is NOT the moral of the story, and you DAMN well know it, pally. I’m goddamned tired of assholes saying that Rondo owes it all to the Big Three, and that we have no future without them. Well I hope the Big Three are around for a while, but Charlotte is an NBA team, even if it is a bad one, and we cooked them pretty good without the Big Three, maybe better than we would have with them, and Rondo dominated pretty good.

But yeah, you are SOOOOOOOO right, Pally. Before it was all about Pierce, and and Garnett and Ray, and now it’s all about Bradley. You haters make me sick.

Paul is right…Rondo’s domination of this one is the moral of the story no doubt. And I completely disagree with with the notion that MP doesn’t deserve an NBA spot. That’s absurd. Hey Chris! When was the last time you had a concussion and then came back a couple weeks later? When was the last time you went with Orlando to the Finals? When was the last time you were even known for having skills at all? This was nothing but target practice for him so he can get back to playing at the level he was before the break.

Greg, before his concussion, his shooting was erratic and he consistently misses wide open threes. I like him as a defender, but he’s a liability on offense.

Why is open hearted and open minded appreciation for a great player so impossible for you all? Do you even have the ability to understand and appreciate basketball? I conclude that you do not. No matter what Rondo accomplishes, you will find a way to tear it down.

What I see is that no one can continue to deny that we have a player in Rondo that we can and should build around, and that we have a damned good start towards that JUST WITH THE PLAYERS WE HAVE. In less that a season, Steimsma has gone from D-leaguer for a reason to strong backup. We now have what looks more and more like a fantastic back court. And we even have ourselves a fine power forward.

But the main thing is that we have a great player in Rondo. WAKE UP HATERS. It isn’t worth your while to keep harboring your hatred.

paul if your waiting for people to start jocking rondo as hard as you are just because he started playing to his potential again its not gonna happen.nobodys “hatin” on rondo its just more fun to discuss the new found talents of avery and stiemsma and the old guys who still have it.rondo is the conductor.nobody goes to an orchestra and trys to fuck the conductor.just kidding.

And what he did three years ago doesn’t matter today or tomorrow. All season long, he has been a horrible shooter. Let’s let our stat man James confirm this.

MP is shooting only 3% less than his career average. But I do agree he has been concentrating way too much on shooting only 3s this season. He can slash and drive and should do that more often. And he has been rebounding better than earlier in the season. I think he’ll be better come the playoffs, as baskets are more critical then and he likely will cut down on all the 3s and move inside more. At least that’s what I hope to see. He really wants a ring so I think his game will elevate when it matters, too. Go Cs…

Paul, who are you calling haters? Nobody is arguing that Rondo played a brilliant game today, are they? He was awesome. He made everyone an all star by getting the ball exactly where they wanted it. And he took the ball to the basket.

EM one minute and 2 pts. KD 14 mins and 2 pts…need I f’in say anything else about Doc’s utter stupidity in giving EM only one minute in this type of game??? What are we saving him for…the Vegas summer league games??? Go Cs…

He hasn’t played and he won’t play in the playoffs. Get over it. Please…I don’t know how much more cheer leading I can take. He’s a decent spot up shooter yes, but he’s really small and is a liability on defense. Those two combined = no PT on a defensive team. Wake up dude.

I’m not your ‘dude’; dip. EM is 6’4″ and KD is 6’3″ so next time do some f’in study before you shoot your mouth off. Check their stats and if I am not mistaken a ’9′ per is better than a ’6′ per. And don’t comment on my posts if you don’t like what I say, which I am entitled to speak up as I please. Go Cs…

And if you prefer KD, who does nothing game in and game out, then your comment about “watching the games/observing stats” you made to Chris H should actually be followed by yourself. Go Cs…

Okay you want to get anal about size? Avery Bradley is 6’2….what’s your response to that? Mine is that if you don’t play defense on the level that Doc wants, then screw your spot shooting ability. KD isn’t an offensive weapon (though he’s shown he can be) but he’s way better on defense. Dude.

Your words (“but he’s really small” – so would that make you “anal” too?) are why I gave EM’s stats and they have nothing to do with AB since he wasn’t who you were bitching about (besides my post). That said how can anyone know or determine the defensive capability of EM when he plays a minute or two at a time??? KD is not some great defender and is only getting playing time because of experience (i.e. longer time in the league). Too bad that experience isn’t translating into even his ‘career’ stat level this season. He has consistently underperformed and so you can have him, but I’d prefer to give a younger, taller, and certainly more athletic player the time and experience building (since he’s going to be here longer than KD) and live with any deficiencies, which given the minutes I believe he can handle. The only reason AB got meaningful minutes, to show what he could do, is because of injuries since there’s been no practice time this season. I watch the games too, listen to them online and follow the stats so I can back-up my comments/opinions. If you don’t see the potential and better play of EM vs KD then you aren’t watching close enough. Go Cs…

Okay, I did James job of looking up stats, and I’m surprised to see that Pietrus’s numbers aren’t down that much from his career averages: 39 % FG down from 42 career. 34.5 % 3P range, down from 35.8%
But still, all season, he’s been missing a lot of wide open 3s that he should be knocking down.

So you basically just ate your whole “Pietrus doesn’t deserve an NBA spot” campaign. Good job! And he was slowly progressing into a solid backup before the break, but that’s only noticed from watching games/observing stats.

when a guy misses 8 3′s in a game it plays with your mind and makes you think of just the misses.i couls see him trying to aim the ball and hesitating.he doesnt follow through so if he isnt feeling right mentally than he is double fucked.every player has slumps, ray had a long one this season even bass had one for 2 games. hell be back to normal soon.those slumps are usually all mental.

Great win C’s. EM and JJ will get decent minutes one day won’t they Doc? Celtics minus Big 3 just took care of the WORST team in the league, but I agree, CHA is still an NBA team and I’m sure they have had some close games this season throughout the blowouts and losses. Earlier this season there was some negative vibe toward Rondo in the press around the time his name was in trade talks so I guess Paul is talkin to those who backed trading him and said he should go. But we all knew that that would be a bad idea right? To ALL the peeps on this site, we may not agree on certain issues, just remember this: BOSTON IS A BROTHERHOOD… 18.

I agree with james the rookies should get more time esecially em who was a four year senior with tons expereince.

AB is a perfect example no one 4 months ago woul think AB would start or be a good player
Why was that becuase the kid never got a chance to play and only got a chance becuase of injuries now he is starting ahead of RA.
