Kevin Garnett named Eastern Conference Player of the Week

From the official press release:
Boston went 4-1 on the week, going 3-1 in games in which Garnett appeared. Garnett averaged 20.0 points, 10.8 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 1.3 steals and 1.0 blocks for the surging Celtics. He recorded three point-rebound double-doubles on the week, including a 21-point, 12-rebound effort on April 14 during a 94-82 win at New Jersey. …
April 10 @ Miami: Tallied 24 points, nine rebounds, two assists and two blocks in a 115-107 win over the Heat.
April 11 vs. Atlanta: Posted 22 points, 12 rebounds, two assists and three steals in a 88-86 win over the Hawks.
April 14 @ New Jersey: Tallied 21 points, 12 rebounds and three assists during a 94-82 win over the Nets.
John Hollinger is wondering whether the Orlando Magic and Atlanta Hawks would consider tanking in order to avoid the Boston Celtics in the first round. The Cs just won four out of five games played during a six-day stretch, including a road win against the Heat, an overtime win against the Hawks, and a 2-1 stretch on the team’s lone back-to-back-to-back of the season. Yes, the Celtics are peaking at the right time, and Garnett — who has been lights out on both ends of the court ever since the All-Star break — is a huge reason, maybe the biggest, why.
Somewhere, Chris Bosh heard about Garnett being named the Eastern Conference Player of the Week, nodded his head solemnly, sobbed into his pillow and walked straight to his dresser for a new pair of underwear.
