Ray Allen rejoining Celtics tonight in New York, game-time decision against Knicks

Though Ray Allen remains questionable for tonight’s game against the Knicks, the guard has taken the first step toward activation after missing the Celtics’ last four games with a sprained right ankle.
Allen is expected to join the team here for tonight’s game and will be a gametime decision, according to team president Danny Ainge.
“If he’s flying, then that has to be considered an improvement,” Ainge said. …
“He’s done some running on the treadmill,” Ainge said. “He’s also done some shooting. So we’ll see what happens.”
Allen’s injury weirdly helped the Celtics develop a five-man unit among the best in the NBA, and pushed along Avery Bradley’s development to the point that Bradley now drills occasional three-pointers in transition, holding up his hand afterward in a pose, as if to say, “Yeah, you might actually have to defend me now.”
But regardless of how well the Cs have played in his absence, the three-point king’s return would help — whenever Allen becomes available off the bench, the Celtics become all the more potent.

Be nice to get Ray Ray back for a couple games before heading into the playoffs. I am concerned like others with this reoccurring ankle injuries… if you ever had a bad ankle you know how long the injury can linger before u get back to 100%.
I think getting Ray back soon and having a good post season run is important if the Celtics want him back next year, he needs to see that coming off the bench is not the end of the world and might even extend he legendary career a couple more seasons. I hope for the best for him no matter what, get that ankle healthy and hope this season ends on a good note for him… he has been a great Celtic but a great Professional for many years.
