Ray Allen, Mickael Pietrus, Rajon Rondo not traveling to Atlanta

http://twitter.com/celtics/status/193036989115797504

I continue to worry about Ray Allen’s ankles. May they recover shortly, because right now, Boston’s bench has less ammunition than a water pistol in the middle of the desert.

Don’t need them and it’s just more rest for them and more time for EM. Go Cs…

    James is right.
we clinched the 4th seed, and that’s pretty much we can aspire for.
home court advantage in the first round won’t make much difference if the team is healty.
    go EM!!!

You guys are smoking crack if you don’t think we need Ray Allen in the playoffs.

I certainly wasn’t talking about the playoffs. We need everyone healthy and rest is good until the games matter. Go Cs…

Wouldnt go as far as to say we don’t need them, but this is a good shot for EM and maybe even JJ to showcase what they have against good offensive players. Pierce needs to get some rest too because he’s been playing top-notch lately. Ik he’s the youngest of the vets but we still need him to be fresh and ready to roll in the playoffs. Bradley got beat by Nelson a few times too many last night and I’m sure he’s tired as hell right now too.

Agreed. Any player from the bench in these upcoming games should be mobilised.

I think we may end up needing Moore in the playoffs, so it’s best to play him as much as possible.

I’m worried about Ray and Pietrus. Has Pietrus reinjured his knee? How serious is Ray’s condition?

But we should be a LOT more worried about Rondo. Rondo has had a lot of problem with his back, and if that doesn’t recover fully, he won’t be able to be the Rondo we need in the playoffs.

Rest all three of them for the last three games. it’s not really ideal, and as a fan I want to see them, but it makes sense.

So there’s no deadline for signing free agents? The Celtics just signed a 6-10 guy named Sean Williams.

He’s not eligible for the playoffs. We’re way past the date. Go Cs…
