Hawks 97, Celtics 92: The JV squad falls with pride

The Boston Celtics clearly believe they can defeat Atlanta on the road during the playoffs, and the JV squad did little to squash that belief.

Two thoughts from a relatively valiant loss:

1. This team never quits regardless of who’s in the lineup and what the situation might be.

2. Avery Bradley is developing into a legitimate monster. I’m quite happy he’s on the Celtics.

    Time to trade Rondo…

Just kidding paul…great effort by AB and he definitely deserves a new contract. They played much better than I thought the final score would be. Loved EM’s game even though he missed the last 3. And I even liked KD’s game who I have been extremely critical of. Keep playing these guys, even vs Miami on Tuesday and we’ll be ready when the games matter. Go Cs…way to represent!

I loved the effort and if I were a Hawks fan or player, I’d be really really pissed tonight. Doris Burque was talking about how it’s pathetic how the Hawks couldn’t beat a Celtic team who was playing them with spare parts and Avery Bradley. I love this team and the effort shown by Marquis Daniels was a refreshing reminder of how good a player he can actually be. Our new guy Williams grabbed a rebound as well. He put himself in position to get more, but the ball didn’t bounce his way.

He deserves a rest, he has some minor injuries worth resting for the games ahead.

I actually was quite peeved at MD. He had a chance to put up an open 3 at the end of the game and put up a shocker. I was mad as f–k at that. Felt that there was no rotation again. SP, GS were taken off and never seen again and JJ played about 5 minutes. It seemed like the people who were makin shots weren’t taking them at the end of the game. Around the 4 minute mark, I was thinkin here comes AB to save the day which could have been quite possible. A costly loss but a don’t know if Doc gives a damn about HC adv with this result.

Question: Since the C’s have clenched the Atlantic division, doesn’t that clench the 4 seed and home court in the first round? Anyone?

@ James/Greg. On your 420 discussion, there is a place in LA that is like Willie Wonka and the Chocolate factory, only its products are 420, i.e. cookies, lolly pops, root beers and lemonade, brownies, you name it. I told the 420 doctor that I had headaches and he wrote me a prescription. Only in LA. Despite the Laker fans, LA has its perks, including my store in Venice Beach. Go C’s!

And if the C’s win the championship, I will raise a lemonade in a toast to y’all. NC is a beautiful state by the way.

Celts got e’ry chance to win the title. And we just got stronger with the signing off Sean Williams. Not many teams get a new player a week before the playoffs.
