Ray Allen still game time decision; Mickael Pietrus starting for Rajon Rondo

http://twitter.com/ESPNForsberg/status/197339764951752704

If you told me at the start of the season that Avery Bradley would start at point guard alongside Mickael Pietrus in what’s somewhat close to a must-win game, I would have sat in the bath tub with a bottle of Jack Daniels and a gallon of ice cream until both were gone. But that’s the situation in which the Celtics now find themselves, and I’m reasonably confident considering that THISGAMECOULDDECIDETHEFATEOFTHESEASONANDRAJONRONDOISN’TFUCKINGPLAYING!!!

Bradley’s shown the ability to play point guard in spurts and Paul Pierce can handle many of the ball-handling abilities. The Hawks are one of the teams that loves to full-court pressure Bradley when he dribbles the ball upcourt, so beware of the Jeff Teague one-man press.

Ease back away from the cliff Jay. This is certainly not a “must” game. The goal is to win 4 games and win just one on the opponents floor while winning and holding your own home-court. The game is important in that we need to see the late 3rd qtr’ and 4th qtr’ Cs show up for the full game. This will be a great chance to see how the Cs rally and come together as a team. Hopefully, they rebound a whole lot better. PP can bring the ball up too so I am not worried about AB and I love having a 6’6″ SG for tonight’s game. MP always plays better and is a lot more active (rebounds better too) when he starts. Too bad I will only get to listen to the game as I don’t have NBATV. But if we win, which I expect, then all will be right and then we win on our court and we’ll be up 3-1 the next time they see Atlanta. Go Cs…

Alcohol and ice cream? Really? Hahaha. Anyway, looks like MyDogsOnFire got intimidated an ran away. Oh, how I love Laker fans.
Like James said, if the 3rd quarter C’s show up we should win. Rondo will come back with an absolute vengeance in game 3 and then we’ll be on a roll.

I LOVE whiskey and ice cream. That’s for celebrating our big win tonight!

And then it will be as you say, Greg. The team is rallying.

yall remember when the first round used to be 5 games… if that were the case id be very weary right now, but like jamie said its best of seven need them four W’s, even if the Hawks win tonihgt they did their job and held home court. Celts in six!

I agree with Jay, tonight is pretty close to a must win. Which is why I think they will. All year long, this team has bounced back after looking dead. With Rondo out, they know they have to step up more than ever. And they will. Pierce is due for a big game tonight. So is KG. And someone is going to surprise us. I think it’s going to be Sacha with a big game off the bench.

Whiskey and ice cream? WTF, I don’t think they go together very well, but then again, I’ve never tried it.

James: Go to Google. Type in first row sports. It will give you the most current link, which is constantly changing due to the feds shutting them down. But it works. I’ve been watching all the games via internet

Thanks…I used to go there and they finally caught them. It’s a ‘rights’ game so thanks I’ll check it out. Just a tad fearful of getting viruses from sites I don’t know…especially like these. Go Cs…

Use the Firefox browser. It’s excellent with blocking pop ups that cause viruses.

Has anyone seen the NBA playoffs commercial with PP sitting in the rafters? That’s awesome. If there is one thing the NBA has never failed in, it’s their commercials. They always seem to capture the essence of the playoffs in them. Remember the 2010 playoffs commercials with the faces sliced in half? Awesome.

No s–t. 1 brain snap can cost a season. Now this is getting even more silly. Pietrus? As PG? WTF. I ain’t got no problem wit it so long as 1 thing, he makes good on that promise of a championship. Personally I would play AB and EM.

James, also be careful about what you click on in first row sports. there are some trick pop ups that say it’s to watch the game when it really isn’t. when you have a connection, you will hear the game on, and you just have to wait for that stupid ad to finish before connecting to visual (most of the time) and yes, firefox is better,

cpufc—-yeah, i attacked pietrus in here a couple weeks ago, but james and greg seem to believe in him. He scares me every time he shoots the ball. Let’s hope he proves us wrong, though i’d much rather see Pavolic on the court or Moore

MP can certainly be up and down, but his game is solid when starting especially if he uses his driving and rebounding skills. He loves the 3, sometimes way too much, but we can win with 2-pointers, too. Go Cs…

Yeah bro, I was wrong, I thought MP was starting at PG so I was like WTF. I think he is pretty good on D but he has made some poor decisions on offense. I raised my eyebrows when he guaranteed a championship. He at least he didn’t say 7.
