Who do you ride in the final six minutes of a close game: Ray Allen or Avery Bradley?

Ray Allen’s presence helps so much for the Boston Celtics. He’s their biggest three-point threat. He’s the bench’s only real scorer and also its best play-maker. He can change a game’s momentum in a hurry, like when he tied Game 5 at 83-all with a triple from the corner. I understand everything Allen brings to the table.
But with Allen’s return, Doc Rivers now has serious choices to make at the end of games. Does he go with Avery Bradley, which allows the Celtics to play the lineup which was their best this season and led to Boston’s awesome second-half surge? Or does he go with Allen, who’s helped the Celtics win dozens of games in the past with clutch play and could out-shoot 95 percent of humans while wearing a blindfold? Obviously, the situation will dictate Rivers’ decision at least to an extent. If the Celtics are down three with 5.7 seconds left, Allen will be in the lineup. If they’re up one and need a stop, it’ll probably be Bradley.
But what about situations like Tuesday night, with one quarter left in a close game? Rivers inserted Allen for Bradley with 5:28 left in the third quarter and rode Allen almost the remainder of the contest, until Bradley was subbed in for defensive purposes with 10 seconds left in the game. Part of that was because Atlanta’s new starting lineup, with Joe Johnson and his size at shooting guard, gives Bradley some trouble. But does Bradley deserve that time anyway? Or has Allen earned crunch-time minutes due to his past achievements and stellar outside touch?
It’s a tough call. What do you guys think?

Ray Allen. Depends on the opposing 2 guard though. If its a Kobe Bryant or Dwayne Wade, who aren’t big but quick, use Bradley for defense. But if you need offense it’s RA no question.

Ray Allen no doubt…it’s seems to be a reasonable question, but it is not because of one thing: RA = one of the clutches ever (possibly THE). Who else do you want taking a jumper in the closing seconds of a game…waiting…

Depends on the situation. Are you playing with the lead and need defense or are you behind and need offense? Actually, I’d love to see both in with RR, PP and KG. But everyone would need to crash the boards. This group would be very difficult for other teams to defend and give us tremendous quickness on defense while disrupting the other team’s offensive set-up and flow. Certainly worth a try in my opinion. Go Cs…

Ray Ray, even if we need defense more than offense b/c AB is too small to guard in this series. In fact, I want to see Sasha getting more time, especially with Pierce being slowed down. Sasha plays solid D, rebounds, and is smart with the ball.

Wow. Ok people, Bradley is in a bit of a slump, and maybe it’s due to the shoulder, but he has been the difference maker for us this season. Did you all forget that? He has as strong a claim to our confidence as Allen.
It depends on the situation and who is playing better. Doc needs to play this by ear. It’s always that way when you have a strong sixth man. It’s a good problem to have.

Who would you go to in the final 6? AB or the greatest 3 pt shooter of alltime? I think we know the answer to that one.
