Celtics 92, Sixers 91: Boston uses fourth-quarter rally to open series right

The small fourth-quarter lineup worked wonders, scoring on Avery Bradley is harder than turning down a free pack of Starbursts, and Rajon Rondo is better than you even on his so-so days, especially when he decides to hit the turbo button in the fourth quarter. This Celtics team isĀ all kinds of interesting and weird and awesome and ragged and weird and tough and frustrating and gritty and awesome, all at once.

And where, I ask you, would they be without Kevin Garnett?

More to come later, as I’m at the Garden reveling in this Game 1 win.

I just hope Garnett isn’t gassed by the Heat series. We’ll need him to negate Chris Bosh.

Chris Bosh has a way of negating himself when the Heat play the Celtics. I still say that the Heat haven’t beat Indiana.

Very true on both accounts. However our defense is extensively better with KG playing as much as he can and as admirable as his 2004 throwback performances are, we cannot continue to rely on them to survive. Mickael Pietrus, Dooling, Hollins all need to step up and relieve some defensive and offensive stress off of our starters so that we don’t get gassed by the Heat series. And I agree the Pacers are a terribly underrated team, which we will find out tomorrow.

Posted most of my game comments in the other ‘open thread’. Forgot to add that I love, and had been calling for, the final group with RR/AB/RR playing with KG and PP. KG is the MVP this year, but RR is the Cs best player. Hope they are awake now going forward, too. Go Cs…

KG and Rondo have some kind of special basketball bond – always in cahoots

i like that rondo got pissed off at david aldrige when he say it would be difficult for a old team.aldridge=”it may be difficult because your and old team what do you do=”rondo cuts him off…”it may not be…look at us ,we’ll be fine.”that was awsome.

Absolutely….RR’s comment was dead-on and shows his belief in this group. I love his attitude. Go Cs…

Rondo told it like it is. The time is now, plenty of time to be granddads…in about 40 years. Big time game from the C’s.The comeback is complete. Special credit to AB with the D. Doing the little things at crucial moments wins games BIG. KG played like the MVP once again. That man makes Chris Bosh and co look like schoolboyz. LET’S GO CELTICS… 2012…BANNER 18. BURN IT DOWN BROTHAZ…
