Elton Brand says Philadelphia 76ers were ‘a little overconfident”
You thought I was going to laugh at the Philadelphia 76ers for being overconfident when they’ve never accomplished anything except toppling a No. 1 seed essentially playing without its top two players. You thought I’d rip apart the 76ers for being overconfident when they needed two obscene shots from Evan Turner and a bank job from Lavoy Allen just to prevail by a single point in Game 2. You thought I’d find it absurd that a team without a single player who has won an NBA title could be overconfident against a team with championship experience like the Celtics.
And yes, you thought right. If the Philadelphia 76ers actually entered Game 3 as an overconfident bunch, they were also a stupid bunch. But I can promise they won’t be overconfident anymore. As Eminem might say, “snap back to reality.”

Well, maybe they should be confident. They’ve still essentially beaten us in four out of six games this season.
I’d prefer to see us beat them again before I said anything about who should and shouldn’t be confident.

The only two things the Sixers have on their side is youth and they have NO SUPER STARS! They live & die by a total team effort & if they don’t get it, they’re doomed. Collins is one damn good coach. I don’t mind seeing them lose to the Celtics. great team, always have been. If they get past Philadelphia (they should), I’ll be routing for them all the way. But for now…Go Sixers.
