Paul Pierce practices in a knee brace, probably won’t wear it in Game 4

http://twitter.com/ESPNForsberg/status/203501772893995008

Paul Pierce sprained his MCL in shootaround prior to Game 4 against the Atlanta Hawks and then scored 24 points in 17 minutes later that same night. I know I’m opening myself to a whole line of wheelchair retorts, but Pierce simply doesn’t feel pain like most humans. Jermaine O’Neal would have missed four full seasons with a sprained MCL.

Quit bagging on JO. He played more injured than PP ever has. Go Cs…

JO had a lot of ticky-tac injuries that collectively kept him out and in his late years his body was completely rendered useless. PP has played with many injuries and in a multitude of times has been far more effective than JO was even when he was healthy. Playing through injuries is a great story…if you’re effective. I loved JO’s determination when he was here but he didn’t quite live up to the expectations we had for him.

JO would’ve played, but would’ve left for the locker room in the second quarter. I hope Doc plays Pierce less minutes, assuming we can control the game enough to rest him. Go Sasha! He can play some D and rebound
