Celtics Vs. Heat: Miami Survives Heroic Performance By Rajon Rondo in Game 2
There’s really nothing I can say about Rajon Rondo’s effort that would do him justice. Rondo played 53 minutes, scored 44 points (16-24 FG’s), dished out 10 assists and grabbed eight rebounds. Just to add to the degree of difficult, he also guarded Dwayne Wade for a good portion of the second half and matched up with LeBron James on the final play of regulation. The competitive nature of these Big Three Era Boston Celtics needs to be shouted from the top of a mountain somewhere, but I don’t have a mountain, I have a blog. These guys simply never give in, never back down. The Celtics are clearly overmatched athletically, but they refuse to surrender. Say what you will about Garnett/Pierce/Allen/Rondo, but you can never question their desire.
I’ve got to give credit to the Miami Heat, as well. They took Boston’s best shots and kept coming forward with a never-ending onslaught of Wade and James. If this is the way the Big Three ends, and I think it is ( though I’ve learned not count out these guys), then Celtics fans have nothing to complain about.
Just compare how the Los Angeles Lakers championship Era came to a close these past two seasons to that of the Boston Celtics. The difference?
Celtic Pride.

Apparently the Laker refs from the Finals 2010 series are vacationing in Miami. The non-call on Wade’s face rack of Rondo was the game…not the +18 foul advantage the Heat had.
Rajon Rondo is the best f’in PG in the league. End of that f’in debate! He was awesome and now we know he has a killer jumper. Cs didn’t deserve to lose that game and one only hopes we get the same calls the Heat got in these two games while at home. But I seriously doubt it. Go Cs….great effort all-around boys!!! Very proud to be a Celtics fan.

The NBA is dirty. But we knew that.
I’m excited about Friday. We didn’t even play our best tonight. We played better. Rondo didn’t play his best. The road forward is tough. We needed this game. But we took a big step forward as a team, and Rondo took a huge step forward as a player and leader.

As fans all we want is an even called game. For Rondo to get slapped across his face, and on the other side the ninja kick from wade to kg is ridiculous. Throughout game 1 and 2 how many bad calls were against miami, None really. At least a dozen bad calls toward the celtics.
Damn….

Refs were bad but we had our chance to win this game in the fourth quarter with a 5 point lead and about 3 mins left to play. Ray missed a wide open three that would’ve put us up 8. Ray finally broke out of his slump and had a great game, but we also missed a few good looks at the bucket in those final few minutes, and we gave up too many rebounds (Miami has advantage there with size and quickness). I’m proud of C’s effort, yet I’m also saddened that we brought our best game and can’t beat these guys. But like Jay says, I’m not going to count them out yet. If we can win 2 in Boston, it will be a series again, and next Monday, we’ll all be pumped up and anticipating the finals. The non call for Rondo in OT was disgusting, but it never should’ve gone OT

3rd Quarter, we let them become the aggressor and started settling for jumpers. That was when the game got away from us and we had to scrap to get back in it. I love this Celtics team but this one really hurts. We should’ve won. Rondo played a perfect game, a monstrous game, a superhuman game; he alone almost willed his team to a win, even in the final moments of OT, hitting 2 3s and almost bringing us back from the dead when it was already over.

I hate to call out KG but he cost us that game. 1 pass that was intercepted late in the game that he threw to Bass when he could have attempted a shot down low and a weak as hell jumper when he could have pump faked and went to the hoop with a dunk. Not happy. They better win both games in Boston or we are f–ked. In any case Miami will not win the Finals against OKC or SAS.

That pass to Bass killed me. As great as KG is, he can definitely play soft sometimes, though no one ever calls him out on it the way they constantly call out every mistake by Rondo.

Is it because he’s called himself th best pg in the game? Is it because he’s the one bringing the ball up the court, making decisions about who gets the ball and when? Is it because he’s our best fucking player? You’re such a hypocrite haha

Bearing in mind this is Kevin Garnett. For crunch time his intensity was lacking. Next game he better bring it. Again, don’t like speakin bad on KG – the man is a legend but I felt he was pretty weak in crunch time and we all know what the man can be. COME ON CELTICS-BRING THE PAIN FOR MIAMI UP IN BOSTON.

Brotha, I don’t like speakin bad on any of the Celtics organization. Really I don’t. But I think they can be better than what they are. Doc can make better decisions with rotating his guys, KG could explode to the rack in traffic for a two hand flush and Pierce could drive strong play by play into the paint for the and 1. It’s dangerous days for the 2012 Celtics and we all know that they need to step it up with the desperation that won them Game 7 in Philly. That could very well have been the last game that we saw this line up. These guys, Doc included are responsible for bringing championship glory back to Boston, Even if it were for 1 year, man it was special. I feel bad about calling out these guys because I LOVE this team. No matter what comments I post, I want to make it clear that as a fan, it all boils down to knowing that this team is better and each game they lose, that a great era is fading. After them, there will be NO more. This is it, the final stand of our CHAMPIONSHIP 4.

I believe the Big 3 will be back to contend again even if we lose this series. KG will resign and hopefully RA will too and become our permanent 6th Man. GS will be much improved with a training camp and EM should finally get some minutes…at least those minutes that Dooling is committing 6 fouls. AB will be back, maybe Jeff Green and we have two first round picks in a very deep draft and who knows what FA decides that playing with this group is their path to a title? You just have to love the heart and brotherhood of this team and the Boston Celtic culture. Go Cs…rest up and bring it even harder tomorrow!

Hahaha so Paul, Rondo scoring 44 and dishing 10 assists wasn’t enough for you? You wanted to see him grab some more rebounds? Well no boyfriend is perfect.

i can picture a miami heat practice…the whole floor is covered in gym mats and they do reps of falling down and then the acting coach comes in with a camera and they practice rubbing there face and looking legitimately hurt when the ref calls the flop.seriously though dwayne wade spends as much time on the floor as he does standing up, its like the signature follow through to his jumper.dwayde and lebron are aware of the refs plan so they heavily incorporate flopping into there game.i might not watch next year.
