Ray Allen surgery scheduled for Wednesday

Ray Allen will have ankle surgery early Wednesday morning to remove bone spurs from his ankle, according to Mark Murphy of the Boston Herald.
Ray Allen vowed to take care of his problematic right ankle quickly, and theĀ CelticsĀ guard was as good as his word.
Allen will have surgery to remove bone spurs from the ankle at 6 a.m. on Wednesday at New England Baptist Hospital, according to a source.
If Allen’s having surgery at 6 a.m., that probably means he’ll wake up at 3. That will leave time for a 55-mile bike ride and 1,500 made jump shots before going under the knife.
Get well soon, Ray. I know you’ll have plenty of options in free agency, but you really would be the perfect sixth man behind Avery Bradley. His defense, your shooting, his athleticism, your savvy.
