Ray Allen reportedly staying in Miami tonight ‘as talks with Heat continue’
Miami’s a great place to spend the night, from what I hear. But I also hear it’s not a good place to throw away $6 million over two seasons.

Great point. I still can’t believe he would give up the opportunity to have his jersey retired as a Celtic to play a couple of years for the Cs arch enemy. If he leaves it will be the bonehead move of this century so far. Go Cs…

You should give a sh*t. You want the Heat to get better? Think RA is a step up from Chalmers and James Jones on the 3 line? Of course he is and he will not have to play defense. I’d rather have both RA and JT available and playing together as JT can play the PG role, too. Lost perspective? I think you need to realize that the Heat will significantly improve if RA decides to bail and it hurst us. And I could careless about his ‘brand’. I want his skills. Go Cs…

Respect your opinion James but I’m more concerned with our team and our lineup. Remember that guy Etwuan Moore? The guy you were lobbying for during the season? What happens when he emerges as an assassin from 3 point range. No no, not saying he’s ray Allen automatic, but he’s capable. I personally think the C’s will not suffer greatly because we already GREAT 3 point defense (best in the league last year) and don’t you think we’d know how to defend Ray? At this point I don’t want old players getting in the way of our Avery Bradley-esque players (Johnson, Moore)

I agree re the young players and Moore, as I love his game. But I do not want the Heat adding quality to their line-up. EVER. We are also highly injury prone and what if JT goes down or Moore? We need the best players possible and the chemistry with RA is already set in stone. And sure we can defend RA, but our 3-pt defense SUCKED vs the Heat. Way too much dbl-teaming and leaving Miller and Chalmers wide open all the f’in time. Go Cs…

Which will be helped by Jason Terry, Jeff Green, Bradley and Rondo. C’mon James…the hot streak the Heat were on from 3 land was completely unexpected. Nobody saw that coming. Listen, I would love to see Jason terry be Eddie House 2.0 that complements Allen off the bench, but all hope is not lost if he leaves. Mike Miller and James Jones will retire or be cut, so if Ray goes then he’ll be their primary 3 pt threat along with Chalmers. Not too hard to guard.

Why are you counting on what ifs? Miller has 3 yrs left on his deal and Jones has 2 more. If we don’t defend the 3 line then good players can hit shots and RA is better than any on the Heat currently. I saw the 3-pt streak coming because when we dbl we leave guys wide open. That’s Doc’s defense strategy. I do not want to leave RA open, especially if he’s on the Heat with LBJ driving all the time and pitching out. And EH had one good year, was widly inconsistent the rest of his time on the Cs and could never play defense, so he is not a good example. Go Cs…

Are you kidding me Greg? We are talking about Ray Allen on the Heat… And you’re talking about Etwan Moore??? In case you haven’t noticed the Celtics are old and are put together to win this season. I like Moore and hope he helps, but if that’s the guy you depend on to hit clutch shots in big play off games we might as well forget beating philly never mind a heat team with Ray Allen on it. It was bad enough we lost game 7 to them because of Battier and Bosh hitting threes. Now you wanna give them Ray because we have Etwan. Well Etwan is one bad summer League away from being off the roster.

Hey Moron!! Miami 2 rings in the past 6 years, Celtics 1 rin in the past 25 years!! I find hillarious when Celtics fans live in the past, of course the have 17 championships, the leage was very small then. During that first tittle the Celtics got in 1956 there were only 8 teams in the league, and on tittle 16 in 1986 there were only 17 teams. Plus like I said before Boston have only won one tittle in the last 25 years, stop living in the past Celtics fans, but then that’s all you got, the past since your team is no longer relevant.

Get back to me when you win 4, 5, 6, 7, etc. At least I watched and enjoyed most of our titles and the league wasn’t diluted down back then as it is now. More teams = lesser talent on all the teams in case you don’t know what ‘diluted’ means. And we’re still relevant since we almost beat you minus Bradley and the Laker refs helping you win it all.
