No NEVER. He’s a traitor and just peed on his Celtics legacy. F**K him and the Heat. No longer a fan and wish his new team nothing but losses in every game they play. Go Cs…still the class organization of the league and now we know RA was not cut out to be part of our tradition.

Yeah I’m surprised he actually did it. And I don’t buy the Rondo relationship being the reason. Wow this is unreal. Could Jason Terry be better than Ray though? Is he Celtic Material? I say yes to both. This’ll sting, but Terry could soothe us over.

James I agree with part of your statement but RA was shopped around by Boston, so RA has the right to go some where else especially since he can’t stand Rondo… But he picks a team that just won a ring, thta is someone who just wants to jump on a bandwagon! But don’t worry no one is getting passed the Lakers next year after we get Howard!!!

I’m so pissed right now but last year when I heard he was traded then it fell through I said I wouldn’t blame him if he went to Miami. It’s Ainge’s fault for treating him like dog shit every February. He did it in 2010 to Ray also, every time the Celtics struggle in late January into February Ainge gives up on the team and shops Ray then they make a good playoff run and he wants him back. I would leave too. Be pissed at Ainge not Allen. If this year’s team has a few bad weeks this season it will be Pierce that gets treated like dog shit around the trading deadline. Oh Pierce was almost traded last year too. Now with KG at 11 million per year don’t be surprised if he gets treated like horse shit in February. You never hear San Antonio trying to blow up their big three, instead they praise and try to get them help. Now with Ray Gone we better hope Bradley wasn’t a fluke, Jeff Green can really play, two rookies can give us something and hope Etwan Moore makes it out of summer league. Oh by the way has Ainge looked for a rebounder out there?

DA was looking to rebuild as the team was SUCKING coming into the trade deadline so he discussed moving our only moveable piece which other teams wanted (RR wasn’t going anywhere). It’s a business and RA should not be so sensitive. then his injury led to Bradley showing his talents and KG moved the the center position and Bass became a starter. Our season then changed and there was no reason to blow it up…especially after we were 10 mins from the Finals. We drafted rebounders (Sullinger & Melo) and still have JJ, BB, maybe GS and maybe Wilcox will return. DA has done just fine and we’re better than when we ended the season. Go Cs…

Ainge is to blame. Shopping him around so agressively and actually trading him and telling him to pack up only to have the deal fall through really hurts a player of Allen’s caliber. Ainge screwed up big time. I don’t blame Ray.

Then you’re an idiot. The job of the GM is to discuss deals that involve all players and DA did that as it appeared we were headed to rebuilding and RA was the Celtic most wanted other than RR who was not going anywhere. RA’s injury changed all that and KG at center with Bradley’s and Bass’s addition to the starting line-up helped us to the Finals. RA gave his middle finger to the Cs. He’s at fault and I look forward to him regretting his decision, as he retires in the future. Go Cs…

A good GM keeps certain players off trade market tell me James, who does DA ever consider a Celtic that isn’t going anywhere? If they get off to a slow start this year you’ll hear KG for draft picks in February. San Antonio very loyal to their big 3

Ray’s ego was damaged by the “almost” trade but he didnt’ have to betray his teammates and fans to get back at Ainge. FUCK RAY ALLEN! He choked in game 7 against the Lakers in 2010 and he was horrible in the playoffs this year. So he can take his bad ankles and his mental weakness to Miami. He will be a curse to them, not a blessing. Good riddance, mother fucker. THE JET is a better player and yeah, Moore will have a chance to develop now, hopefully.

Like I said in the other post, what realistically will Ray bring them? A person who stands and camps at the 3 pt line. Against the Heat, we all know now that you first take away the 3 point threat, and watch them implode on themselves by lack of point guard play. The Heat won a championship because of good defense and spot up shooters. We take one of those away, we beat them next year. The flip side is that Ray knows our defensive schemes inside out, and can tell Miami everything. I’m just shocked at the lack of loyalty here though. I mean I know loyalty is overrated in sports, but damn this is so close to home that it feels different in a way.

I hope his bone spurs completely deteriate his ankles and that his career is over. I hope his diabetic kid gets a hold of a quarter pound bag of M and Ms, and I hope his wife gets gang banged by James and Wade, and I hope his dog gets run over by a truck, even if he has a dog; it dogs take after their owners, it’s probably run away already for a better meal.

I agree with your points about us knowing his capabilities and tendencies. But please with the ill-will wishes against Ray…that’s uncalled for. ESPECIALLY when we have the JET! Remember, he was the Heat-Killer in game 6 of 2011. He’s 2 years younger than Ray and doesn’t have an injury history. He’s faster, better with the ball, higher basketball IQ, and is a vocal leader. In my opinion the steal of the NBA free agency belongs to us.

Isnt it ironic, how we got Jason Terry, an 8-year Maverick through free agency who is probably hated in Dallas just as Ray is here.

What a traitor! We have had 5 years of great basketball in part because of RA contributions. Be grateful…what did we have before he came…hopeless basketball. Lets get this str8. WE LOVED RAY WITH ALL OUR HEART. Weve stuck with these guys even though they have not won multiple titles which was expected. Boston has endured a great amount of pain in losing the 2010 title and last year ECF. 2 series which could have been won if guys stepped up, Ray being one of them. Ray owed the city of Boston and the fans at least the loyalty that we gave to him, win or loss. Are we pissed, f–k yeah, do some us of hate Ray, for sure, you got that right. He couldnt beat the Heat so he thought why not join them. What a coward. I am a hater, you damn right. I hate the Heat and proud of it. Only Ray missed the boat already. Heat won in 2012, 2013 is a new year and expect Boston to be a major player.

Let’s be honest; he’s made all the money he could ever need, so now he wants more jewelry on his fingers, and he’s willing to sell his soul and his teammates and his fans to get another ring. Well, it will only be sweeter if we beat the Heat next year.

Hey James don’t defend DA for shopping Ray every season. Every time this team has a bad stretch he tries to blow it up… He did it in 2010 until they got to the finals then brought Ray back for two years. This year at 15 – 17 he gave up again and had Ray traded. Then a good playoff run and he wants them all back again. If they have a bad January this year is Pierce and KG gone? DA is like a girl that can’t make up her mind on whether to leave or stay

Read my other post up above about this. I am for DA doing whatever it takes to make us better. If not for injuries (KG 2009 & Perk 2010) and the Heat refs this year we could have won a couple more titles. Would RA have stayed? The grass isn’t always greener and at least KG was man enough to come back and fight for more banners as a Celtic. I have more respect for MP who wants to be a Celtic and plays for minimum wage than RA and his not being able to deal with RR, not starting, etc. Glad he’s gone. Go Cs…

Then DA doesn’t know his team well and he doesn’t trust his coach. At 15-17 Doc said he liked the team and don’t judge them till the end of the season. Danny trades you if you’re older than 33 and had a bad week. He has not loyalty. I thought we Celtics were a loyal bunch.

The Jason Terry deal did not help either. Do the math…knowing Doc you are not going to keep Bradley and Rondo off the floor. That means Ray would have to share backup minutes will Terry. There were just too many Ainge driven nails in the coffin to allow this deal to work.

That was spin they were trying to put on it to mollify Ray…but it was lie and he knew it…you could use an aging Jason Kidd type of player to backup Rondo but Terry is not a point guard. The Celtics like to tick off all the players they have that can play the point…none of them can effectively including Bradley who was a bust in that position.

There’s also Tim Duncan out there whos a UFA…lol But there is also J.J. Hickson. I’d say go for Hickson, especially if Steimsma and Wilcox are unavailable. He was paid $10MM last year and $20MM each of his seasons before that so he shouldn’t have bitched like a little girl and dealt with it. He was a class act until he bailed on his brothers and decided to join our EC enemy. Maybe you should actually do some research and realize Ainge gave us this team and if not for injuries to KG (2009) and Perk (2010 GM 6 of Finals) we would have had two additional titles. You can have RA and his wimpy, non-existent defense and we’re happy with DA and how he has already added to our team; that if not for the Wade face-rake of Rondo you could very well have been sitting at home during the Finals. it’s not a matter of respect of anyone’s tradition, it’s pure trolling.
let’s get real: I’m afraid Allen will flourish in the heat system, where he’ll be asked to camp at the 3 point line james jones style. and that’s what he is right now: an aging hall of famer that cant’ hold court for more than 15-20 mins per game /and stop anyone).
truth is Allen went to Miami because of HIS ABNORMAL EGO, since he could not stand losing his starting spot in favor of a raw sophomore, while there’s no shame to start behind owl-face Wade, at this point of their respective careers. So he somehow felt he should have started, but at the same time he realized he wasn’t a starter anymore for a contender.
Ainge played no part in it.

Agree totally. And it is about his ego…which is not obviously about playing with his former brothers but about selling out the team that gave him all he has. Go Cs…
