Dahntay Jones drawing Boston Celtics’ interest
Count the #celtics as one of the teams interested in Dahntay Jones if he is bought out by the #mavericks, according to an NBA source

There are worse players than Jones, to be sure. He’s athletic, long and defensive-minded.
But go ahead, call me crazy. I’d rather keep Kris Joseph and give the young kid a chance to blossom.

See this is why I love C-town…we get info that ESPN either doesn’t pick up on or chooses not to report. That said, this would be a stupid move. We have Pierce and Green, who I would argue is the best 1-2 punch as far as small forwards go in the NBA . Adding dahntay jones, who is a SF, wouldn’t make sense. Unless Ainge and Doc feel comfortable with Terry being the backup PG and Jones being the backup SG. That would be a great move if this is their thinking. Jones is physical guy who hates the Heat, both of which will make him an asset IF he commits to being a backup SG.

Why??? He’s nothing special. We are also running out of roster spots and if we get Lee on a S&T then we’ll have only two spots left for EM, GS and or MP. And that also eliminates KD. This is assuming we keep Joseph, which I hope we do as he has shown he’s got skills and knows how to play an all-around game (he’s smoke Dahntay Jones). So we’re either losing GS or MP and I’d love to have both…unless we use JJ in the S&T for Terry and let Joseph have his spot. Go Cs…get Lee and we’re going to be one deep team this coming season!

and KG – the beast himself – needing to take a little thinking time about whether he can still play with his old self , another year at Center? Does noone remember how many injuries our big guys have gotten over the years??????? Do you want to end up having Sean Williams being on the bench for center? We need darko
