King of the Court podcast returns Sunday night (tonight!) at 9 p.m.

Listen to internet radio with Celtics Town on Blog Talk Radio

Among pilot shows, the inaugural King of the Court podcast ranked somewhere between The Wire and Friday Night Lights, which means if you don’t return for the second episode tonight at 9 p.m. ET you’re nuttier than Nate Robinson’s shot selection.

With the angelic voice of host Ty Ray and the soulful “um’s” of yours truly, King of the Court attempts to provide some of the world’s finest Boston Celtics discussion. Really, we’re just two guys shooting the shit. Listen with the audio player above or call in at 347-855-8156.

The fact that he left is indictment enough on the Celtics’ organization. To point fingers and make complaints on the way out the door is not classy or professional in my opinion.

Jay King, u repeated a soundbite like some in the media, I can’t tolerate. I was listening to u on King of the Court, and u stated that everything went right for the Celtics as far as their playoff run.

Here’s where I agree and disagree. I do believe if, Rose was healthy it’s likely a Bulls/Heat ECF match-up. But as far as the Heat series and missing Bosh, I disagree strongly. The Heat were up 2-0 without Bosh, before games 3 and 4. Clearly the Heat, didn’t need him then. It’s only until the C’s tied the series, Bosh suddenly became an important factor.

When, Bosh did return the Heat lost anyway. So I don’t buy that argument about Bosh being some sort of game changer.

    Cheers :)

Agree. Heat were up 2-0 without Bosh. When the Celtics tied the series heading back to game 5, the media(espn) started the cries for Bosh’s return. I just think Lebron played his butt off the entire series. Reality is the Celtics didn’t show up game 6 and they run out of gas during the last minutes of game 7.

    End of story

What about the face-rake of Rondo that cost the Cs GM 2??? If the foul is called on Wade then RR is at the line with the game 105-105 instead of the Cs being down 105-107 after RR finally got up and rejoined the action. The base-line ref was right there and frankly choked. RR was hitting his FTs that game as that was the game he had 44 pts. The Cs likely would have had the lead and likely won that game so going to Boston would have been 1-1. The Cs then won the next 3 games and so the series would have been OVER and LBJ never would have had his big game in GM 6. And there isn’t a Heat fan alive that can argue Wade didn’t foul RR on that play. That’s the reality and why the Heat were lucky to advance. END OF STORY. Go Cs…
