The Rolling Stones, “Goodfellas,” a Hershey’s with almonds — the classics are classic for a reason. That definitely applies to the Celtics’ set. No goofy side panels, no extraneous bells or whistles — just a perfect, vertically arched wordmark and a simple green-and-white color scheme. They rank atop this list despite sometimes wearing that black-trimmed alternate.
Yeah, guys, what are you doing wearing that black-trimmed alternate? Those things are hideous. I’ve never liked them. It’s not like I have two of them hanging in my closet at the moment or anything because I like them better than the classics or anything. How much of a geek do you think I am? Gosh.
This is, of course, an opinion based series, left totally up to the discretion of the writer. No matter how entertaining we find the writer’s prose (and his final verdict, for that matter), he is still voicing an opinion, rather than presenting facts. Celebrating this victory would make us seem, well, rather desperate for something to celebrate, to be honest.
That said, the Lakers were third and Miami was 8th. Tell us how our well-clad ass taste, guys.
