Rondo predicts NBA championship

In an interview with The Standard, Rondo said he believes the Celtics will upset the Miami Heat and bring home the Larry O’Brien trophy in the coming seasons:

“I think because we have a talented group of guys… the additions of Courtney Lee, [Jason] Terry and Jeff Green,” Rondo said. ”We have high expectations every year… I think we got a lot better than last year.”

Rondo also addressed other topics including LA’s new super team (they’re only a juggernaut on paper), and Jeremy Lin who he expects to beat “pretty badly” the next time the Celtics face off against the Rockets. I’d expect nothing less from a player nicknamed Swag.

RR is the best PG in the league and knows of what he speaks! I absolutely love his confidence, as it also must be spreading through the whole team while we wait for camp. Go Cs…

Here’s an article from the playoffs where Rondo is referred to as “Swag.”

KG also calls him Voltron, Shaq used to call him FedEx, etc, etc.

Rondo is the consummate floor general and will not be a Celtic past the next two years. He is truely the premium gas that drives those vehicles. No trophy in ’12 or ’13 as you need quite a bit more on the roster to contend with the Heat and the Thunder. The Heat is a center/big away from a 3peat. Signing two of the later: bird man, Blantche, or Williams and its a wrap for the league…point blank – period!

Rondo is right. The celtics have a very improved team, many people feel, myself inculded if the C’s had more healthy bodies they would have been in the finals.Regarding the FAKERS ! lets see how they all coexhist. Kobe always wants to be the star and we know howard is a MAJOR HEADCASE ! One thing that has been very overlooked in the trade for Howard. in the Fakers lust to get Howard, they added a third team the Denver Nuggets, and they got Andre Iguodala, only one of the best players in the league ! he can defend Kobe.Put Iguodala in with all the other good young talent on the nuggets roster and you have yourself one hell of a good young team.In fact Denvers roster is rated as the second best young roster only to Oklahoma city. The Fakers are far from a shoo in for the finals !!!!!

      seriously you are a jackass
for starters idk how well ray fits in miami . while labron can do a desint job passing the ball hes no rondo i dont think ray will get as much open shots as he use to with the celtics i bet u ll see him trying to cut to the basket more often
miami doesnt even have a true point guard & plus im sure doc has a way to deal with ray its called Bradley
im not sayin ray wont hit some big shots hes a shot maker but i dont think his addition to miami is as dinamic as everyone made it out to be & also just to remind u the heat barely got by the celts last time around

Wow, what did I miss…lot of action on this story. Remains to be seen how good the Celtics will be this season but as long as they have PP, RR and KG they will be contenders. Big up to all the new guys, play hard and the title is yourz…

Definitely imagine that that you stated. Your favorite justification appeared to be at the web the easiest thing to take note of. I say to you, I definitely get irked even as people think about worries that they plainly don’t recognize about. You managed to hit the nail upon the highest and also outlined out the entire thing with no need side effect , other folks can take a signal. Will likely be back to get more. Thanks

I don’t think he predicted anything, predicting & having high expectations are 2 different things, he has high expectations just like every player should, besides, what is he supposed to say? someone else is going to win the championship!. I bet that even the bobcats come to the season thinking they can win it all. Great answer from Rondo
