Dionte Christmas continues Celtics’ summer theme of being awesome

The folks from ESPN Boston kindly invited us to be on their roundtables earlier this summer, so, with difficulty, I’ll restrain myself from just copy-and-pasting this entire feature on one of my favorite random players from the offseason, Dionte Christmas. But here’s a small block quote:
I had a long talk with my dad, and he basically was just saying, ‘It’s not all about the money. It’s about chasing your dream.’ He still wakes up with regrets, because my dad was an athlete, and he [had to] forego his dreams to do certain things, but he still wakes up with regrets. He was like, ‘You don’t want to do that, wake up with regrets, saying you could have, but you didn’t.’
Well geez, Dionte, why don’t you try to make our jobs a little easier? That story had everything that makes the Disney directors scramble over each other to create the next feel-good movie of the year. Dads, sports, regrets, fulfilled and unfulfilled dreams…I smell a blockbuster.
Also of note: Christmas works out for more hours per day than many people do per week, gets to see his family more often, and apparently is eating healthy food. Who knew that being in the NBA would be awesome, way more awesome than being overseas?
Wait, everyone. Everyone knows that. Especially Adam Morrison. Carry on.
