King of the Court podcast episode 10 with ESPN Boston’s Greg Payne: Listen live tonight at 9 ET (changed until 9:30)
UPDATE: SHOW DELAYED UNTIL 9:30 DUE TO TECHNICAL DIFFICULTIES
(Listen at 9 p.m. ET with the widget above, call in at 347-215-7771 and subscribe to the podcast on iTunes.)
The Boston Celtics are currently en route to Istanbul for their European training camp, which means there’s actual basketball for me and co-host Ty Ray to talk about.
Through a couple practices, Doc Rivers has already been impressed with Jason Terry’s ability to play point guard and has already begun implementing a small ball lineup the Celtics expect to use more often this season. We’ll talk about those things, Kevin Garnett’s relationship with Rajon Rondo, Jessica Camerato’s incredible piece on Keyon Dooling and the Celtics apparent disgust toward Ray Allen (Garnett has already deleted Allen’s number and Rondo won’t refer to him by name).
ESPN Boston’s Greg Payne, who is still glowing from Gerald Green’s new contract, is joining us to provide insight gleaned from speaking to the Celtics. Also, to be on the butt end of jokes about his Gerald Green obsession.

For God’s sake, Pierce is NOT the guy we need making offense in crunch time. Rondo is the guy we need doing that. Pierce is an option now. A fantastic option. He’s not the main man anymore.
Wake up, people. It’s really not 2008 anymore. We do have a new sheriff.
