Jeff Green likely to close games

Doc Rivers hinted after practice today that Jeff Green would likely be a member of the closing lineup this season along with the Big Three (via ESPN Boston):
“It’s not as difficult as you think, it comes down to the right two,” said Rivers. “Jeff Green, and another guard or another big. It might be the right one [because] Jeff Green, for the most part, might be on the floor as well. It comes down to that fifth guy, and is it going to be another big to go big? Another guard to go small? There’s a lot of options.”
We speculated that this would likely be the case a few weeks ago (assuming Jeff Green lived up to his potential), but I’d be shocked if Jason Terry isn’t the 5th member of that closing lineup. Terry is a fantastic finisher who tends to shine under the spotlight, and Rivers has made small ball lineups a point of emphasis so far this year. I can’t imagine the Celtics going big when they’d likely have to abandon that closing lineup against Miami, but I’m sure it’ll be an open competition all the same.
