Video: Jeff Green was not at all happy after last night’s Boston Celtics loss

Imagine how you would feel if you returned to your locker room after (another) bad game, already pissed off, only to have a sea of reporters (most of whom will be writing bad things about you) shoving microphones into your face and asking to discuss how and why you’ve been not very good this year.

The answer for Jeff Green is easy: Play better. But when he doesn’t play so well, his curt response to the media makes a lot of sense.

Green had another blah game for the Celtics in last night’s 106-100 loss to the Philadelphia 76ers. He was bad enough (four points, four rebounds, 1-5 shooting, his normal scarecrow defense) that in crunch time, when Doc Rivers thought going small made sense, Green — whose presence was hoped to help make Boston’s small lineups quite formidable — sat on the bench while Paul Pierce played power forward and Leandro Barbosa (a skinny, 6-foot-4 guard) manned the small forward position. It was maybe our most damning of many indications so far that Green has found himself squarely in Doc’s doghouse.

And no, Green’s not happy about that. Not happy at all.

Tough year for Jeff Green, now it’s time to play NBA basketball. If you can’t stand the Heat, get outta the kitchen. Pardon the pun…

Well before I post this comment I hope he proves me wrong I’ll never forget how pissed I was when the Perkins trade was made I knew it was disaster not just because we were trading Perk but the player we got Jeff Green is a D plus player he is decent on offence but defence this guy is horrible the talk of him guarding Lebron I mean maybe everyone forgot how he did in the 2011 playoffs.Danny made a huge mistake letting Mikael Pietrus go Danny he still a free agent please do what you gotta do and sign him please

Perkins sucks and the trade was good, but we should have had JG earn the 4-yr deal instead of just paying him. It’s all between his ears, as he has the talent. The question is will he EVER figure it out? And letting MP go was a mistake. Go Cs…

Perkins sucks??? were not talking offence here come on Perk made a huge difference for Okc they made the Western conference finals the first year he was there and made the finals last year you think if JG was still there they would have made it that far ummm no is Kendrick Perkins a superstar no but ask Kevin Garnett if Perk sucks ask Dwight Howard if Perkins cant play or hell ask Doc if he could not have used Perkins 6 rebounds per he was averaging in the finals I’m sorry but that was not a good trade you can think that but numbers dont lie also remember we were 41-14 when that trade happen we finshed 56-28 and looked awful JG SUCKS PERIOD

Oh God, let’s not rehash this stupid argument again. I’ve written about this since it happened and considering Perk is DOWN in all his averages this season, when supposedly in his ‘prime’, speaks volumes about his lack of talent. Get over it. The trade was 2 years ago and the Cs are better for it. Not necessarily with JG, but better because Perk is GONE. And if you think 6 rebs is good for a center then go back and study up because it is not. Go Cs…

I was not saying it was good but for a team that was horribly lacking rebounds in that game 7 you would be crazy to think he wouldnt have made a difference and consider when Garnett when phrasing Sullinger mentioned Perk he was a better fit in our system the only big man who has made a difference on D since Perk leFt was GS Im not saying Perk is an allstar but on DEFENCE and strickly DEFENCE he is a difference maker and the difference he makes does not always show up in the stat line

If he was/is such a “defensive presence” then why was he sitting during OKC’s run vs the Heat last year. If we had guarded Miller and Chalmers or if Wade’s face-rake of RR had been called we would have been in the Finals. Trust me, Perk is not the defensive monster you think he is and KG covered his ass plenty to make it look that way. So he’s big and takes up space? I’d rather have KG at center so BB can play than have a weak center with average skills and even lesser offensive skills. Rebs should be done by all and I have written about it forever. PP has 3 games of 7 or more rebs this year and voila – we are 3-0 in those games. Tell PP to reb 7+ per game and this team wins 85% of it’s games. To me that is better than Perk at center. FYI, FAB will be better than Perk in 2 yrs. Go Cs…
