Celtics 92, Sixers 79: Not again, Philly

Jeff Green’s suddenly Mr. Consistent Offense; Kevin Garnett had zero rebounds but still managed to be awesome by shooting 9-11 for 19 points in just 23 minutes (the last stat = the most awesome); Jared Sullinger had nine rebounds in 22 minutes; Rajon Rondo continues to fill up the stat sheet; and Boston’s defense has been revived from the dead ever since Rondo wrassled with Kris Humphries and Doc Rivers called his team soft (not saying there’s any correlation, but still).
A good win for the Celtics on the second night of a home-and-home against the Sixers. As @Mister_Pierce tweeted, “Last nights loss rubbed the right players the wrong way. You can tell.”

It was amazing that Rondo was able to play through his ankle problems like that to a near triple double.

GREAT WIN tonight I am gonna keep this 100 percent positive look Philadelphia matches up good there nothing we can do about that the way the roster currently build there build to push a team like the Celtics. Now to start off I am far from ready to believe but Jeff Green had another good game in his last five games(since Doc called him out)he is averaging 16 ppg he played well.Brandon Bass bounced backed chippin in with 10 points RONDOOO a near triple double and KG strong game with 19 points and a steal(0 rebounds but this is positive). Now the real reason im feel good right now about the Celts in the last 5 games the celtics are allowing 87.4 points per game and opponents are shooting just 40.2 percent from the field without question the best defensive strecth of the season.I know I know Philly is not the best offensive team but Turner,Holliday and Lavoy Allen give us fits when we match up.AB is only going to make our defensive stats continue to improve. We gotta look at the positives tonight look our rebounding issues are not gonna be completely solved unless Danny makes a damaging trade we might be able to get a vet or buyout option later on in the season we gotta hope JS continues to improve his game on the glass he has averaged 6.4 rebs per game during the last 5 games since Doc’s callout.Brandon gotta try to grab 7 a night this has to start within the guys we got,the next 10 will be tough and will be a big test there some really good teams coming up and if we cannot go at least 7-3 all the good thing I just spoke on will not matter GO CELTICCCS

How is it that KG, JG and JT play 74 mins and get 1 rebound??? That one reb was by JT, which means two of our PFs got zip, zero, nada rebs and JS & BB got 13 rebs. Hell, LB played 4 mins and got 1 reb. While it was a win it just shows how bad we played in Philly on Friday. Cs only shot -4 shots vs Philly tonight compared to -18 on Friday. Much better control of the ball as Philly had 8 less steals and we had 7 less TOs. Too bad it always seems like it takes a LAME loss to generate a fire in the Cs??? Ergo we’re all of 2 games over .500 when we should be at least 16-4 at this point. The mighty Cs are not so mighty, but at least their defense (other than rebounding) is coming into shape (39% shooting for Philly). Red has to be spinning in his grave every game night, as the talent on this team is better than some teams he had but this team just seems to want to show up and not work for it. Red’s teams always played hard, every night. This team wants to coast and then flip the switch when the playoffs start. It’s so very disappointing. Kinda like anticipating Xmas and getting real excited as the day and moment approaches and then not getting the one present you wanted and talked about all year. The last 10 games we are 5-5. It is so frustrating that a team with 3 future HOFs and a deep bench play crap and mediocre ball so many nights, especially against teams we should be by 10 easily and consistently. Well, maybe AB is the gift the Cs need as he will at least hustle every minute while on the court and that has to rub off right? Go Cs…I think.

Because they are being piss weak. Sorry big men of the Celtics…do we have any besides KG? We do, I forgot, they get employed by Doc to keep seats warm. Now that makes a hell of alot sense. JC to Doc: ”Hey Doc, when do I get a run?”, Doc:”Sorry JC your not ready yet, we have to keep up with Miami first”…

in all honesty, I can’t blame Doc for not playing Collins major minutes or any at all. he sucks. at least he’s given up the idea of playing Green (who’s been brilliant as of lately) at PF, either.
which leaves us with 2 power forwards playing at center. one is a HOF, but still 36 on limited minutes, and the other one just came back from heart surgery.
sad to say it, but I thing Bass and one between Bradley and Lee have to get traded for a starting center.
