Boston Celtics 103, Houston Rockets 91: Yes, the Celtics we love seem to be back

Jared Sullinger is the most mature 20-year old basketball player on earth; the Celtics bench is suddenly approaching its promise; Courtney Lee showed more signs of continuing to dig his way out of an early-season slump (though he did have a few head-scratching turnovers while running the point); Rajon Rondo now has fewer than 10 assists in eight of his last 12 games (by my count, at least); Paul Pierce remains a talented scorer; KG’s omniscient contributions go without saying; Avery Bradley made James Harden work for everything he got; and a bad second-half stretch was completely overcome by a response that could only be compared to the Jamaicans owning the Swiss at the bar in Cool Runnings.

I see pride, I see power, I see a bunch of bad-ass mothers who don’t take no crap off nobody.

Finally.

Blood fire.

Lovely win tonight! I loved the bench, specially Jared’s effort. I have to give credit to green for his monster dunks that lit the entire team! great win, 5 in a row and counting!

Okay let me start by saying this a few weeks ago there was a blogger who told me better days were coming his name was uh-oh if your reading this I dont know how you know but brother I am very glad you did know.I for weeks talk about trades bad decision making blah, blah, blah guess what I was 100 percent wrong.I like this team and I dont want anybody except for Wilcox and Collins involved in any trade period you hear me Danny. Our bench has been awesome yes even JG in the last 3 games.Jarred Sullinger was I wrong for thinking about trading you for Cousins you are a 2 way beast.Courtney Lee man your ball D is amazing right now gezzz!!!!!!!! JG attacking the rim aggressive your not worth 9 mill but playing better.Bass the stat sheet might not show it but the muscle.AB might not be the allstar but is the our MVP.I know I know it only Jan but I believe now all we need is a 4-6 seed I AM CELTICS AND EXTREMELY PROUD RIGHT NOW before I go I feel if we can get a Mozgov/Koufas for the two players I mentioned BANNER 18 STAY TUNED………….

It’s not particularly a good thing that Rondo isn’t going double digits in assists.

I don’t know how you all got so convinced by this crazy group think that Rondo getting ten assists is a bad thing.

Paul, didn’t mean it was a good thing. Just pointing it out. What IS good is that the Celtics are finally limiting his minutes (just 33 tonight).

Win the rebounding and play better defense (AB is having a major effect on the team’s overall play) and see what happens? I agree with Paul, RR needs to get 10-13 assists a night. Under 10 is not a good sign. And JG needs to rebound better. I could careless about his dunks but do care that he rebounds, as that is what will help this team the most. Good, but not great win. Progress being made but we’re a long way from being playoff ready. Go Cs…

altough he made arguably the most important basket of the night (the tap in on Rondo’s miss), Bass is totally lost. Useless on offense and ineffective on defense and on the board. I know it’s not he’s fault, but he’s dramatically undersized. and he’s got no game whatsoever besides his midrange jumpshot (and that’s definitely his fault). Please Danny, trade him for a (truly) big man

Rondo is clearly hurt right now you can tell just watching him he is not 100 percent thats why assist numbers are down as of late

Agreed, Rondo should get limited minutes to share the time with the plethora of guards they have available. All are capable of contributing and all the guys on this squad should get a run. Go Celtics…
