NBA Trade Rumors 2013: Kevin Garnett would utilize no-trade clause if Boston struck deal with Denver for KG

The Denver Post is reporting that the Denver Nuggets have expressed interest in Kevin Garnett. Unfortunately for the Nuggets, this feeling is a one way street:
Through his representatives, Garnett has let it be known he has no current interest in the Nuggets.
No surprise there, as the article goes on to call Denver a “fly-over city” and not a desirable destination for most NBA talent.
But, here in fantasy-land, lets play out this potential scenario. Who would the Celtics be asking for in return? George Karl seems to have fallen out of love with Kenneth Faried, as ‘The Manimal’ has been sitting out in crunch time in favor of two point-guard set featuring Andre Miller and Ty Lawson. Denver does have to young talent the Celtics are looking for: Lawson, Faried, Gallinari, Chandler, and McGee (ok maybe a stretch). They also have a plethora of true centers in Koufos, McGee, and Mozgov. It is unclear as to what combination of any of these players would interest Boston, but there Denver is deep and has players to spare.
While fantasy-land is fun, KG would not do this deal, and I would not want him to do this deal. He has been fiercely loyal and committed to his teammates and team in Boston. The Big Ticket recently said: “”I bleed green, I die green, that’s what it is,” and his refusal to go to a B/B+ team only supports that claim. As over-stated as it is, its still hugely refreshing to see someone so loyal to his team as Mr. Garnett.

I can’t blame him. Why would he want to go to a team that only performs well in the regular season, but goes nowhere come playoff time. He experienced that for more than a decade when he played in Minnesota. So why would he want to go through that again? Unless it is to a true championship contender, Garnett should just stand pat where he is.

Just want to clear the air about the whole “trolling” thing. this page was linked to the Nugg’s FoxSports page. we didn’t come looking for articles to rip the celtics. And I completely agree with the fact that he is to old to be traded for what boston is going to want for him. the only people we are even listening to trades for is Mozgov and MAYBE hamilton or stone, which, if I where boston GM, wouldn’t go for. if the celtics just wanted to do a 2 player trade, mozgov for garnett, it would have gotten done months ago.
