Paul Pierce to sit against Charlotte; Jeff Green to start in his place
Paul Pierce needed a night off against, I’ll just say it, an inferior opponent. He has been nursing a neck injury for quite some time, a rest should be good to keep him as fresh as possible heading into the home-stretch of the season.
Last time Green got the the start for a resting KG, he put up 31 points in an all-around great game against the Phoenix Suns. This should also serve to reinvigorate Green’s confidence as an offensive option as he is coming off of a sub-par 2-11 shooting night against his old team on Sunday.
From here on out it will be a battle for seeding in the East, as the playoff teams are all but determined. Time to start rooting against the Kn-ets-awk-ulls-ucks. For those who could not decipher what that was, it was a reckless combination of all the eastern playoff teams minus Miami and Indiana, who seem to be a cut above the rest and out of reach even for the most optimistic Boston fans.

since this week schedule is charlotte-toronto-charlotte, PP should rest and take care of his pinched neck nerve all week long. I’d give at least one game off to Garnett, too. If they manage to lose one against such low competition, they deserve some serious whipping.

Whether or not PP is ‘suffering’ from his neck injury (it appears to me he is currently not doing so) this should be the way the line-up goes from here on in and into next season. We need offense off the bench and JT just isn’t reliable or consistent enough and JG would benefit from starting, as he is also prone to off-nights at the worse time. Let’s see if we’ve learned anything and can beat sub .500 teams without struggling as we have all year. Go Cs…

Well guess what, Jeff Green didn’t do well on the starting line up and we lost this game by almost 30… turns out the captain is way more important for this team that what you thought.

I never said he wasn’t important, did I??? I just prefer him coming off the bench, as the Sixth Man, as I have been saying all year. Go Cs…
