Magic not feeling themselves anymore
After winning eight straight games and being prematurely labeled one of history’s greatest teams, the Orlando Magic got some big heads. It only took 48 minutes to deflate their oversized egos. (Orlando Sentinel)
“Being 8-0 in the playoffs – I can’t speak for everyone – but we may have been feeling ourselves too much,” Matt Barnes said. “They kicked our (butts) last night, and now we have to get back to work.’’
A lot of people seemed to forget that the playoffs don’t end after two rounds. Two straight sweeps only means one thing — you earn the right to play in the third round.
Once the next round starts, everything’s 0-0. And now it’s 1-0, Celtics in the lead.
Bonus link: Adonal Foyle writes a blog and wrote a pretty thorough breakdown of last night’s game. And yes, Adonal Foyle is still alive.
