Super Sunday

Be prepared for a physical, intense contest. And don't be surprised if Perk, or Sheed, gets a T.
Tonight, the Indianapolis Colts play the New Orleans Saints in what promises to be an exciting, memorable game. The whole sporting world waits in anticipation for the sporting event of the year: The Super Bowl.
Not me.
I may be crazy and deluded, but I’m more excited for the Boston Celtics vs. the Orlando Magic at 2:30 ET. Boston and Orlando will be playing for second-place in the Eastern Conference at the TD Garden, in what has become a budding rivalry. Both teams are aware of the game’s import when they face off against each other, and backing down will not be an option.
I’m looking forward to a physically intense game, where each possession becomes a game unto itself and players battle for every inch.
I’m looking forward to a highly motivated Celtics team coming off three straight wins, but knowing those three wins mean nothing without a fourth.
I’m looking forward to- and praying for- a full, healthy Boston Celtics roster for the first time I can remember.
I’m looking forward to a maniacal Garden crowd trying to influence the outcome of the game.
I’m looking forward to Dwight Howard’s running hook-shot, Vince Carter bricking long-distance shots, and Howard clanging free-throws.
But most of all, I’m looking forward to- and praying for- a meaningful Celtics win.
After that? Well, then I’ll get excited for the Super Bowl.
Pour me another drink, and pass me the blue cheese: this Super Sunday was meant for beer and wings.
