Highlight Reel: Nate Robinson’s cousin can play
Nate Robinson’s little cousin Tony Wroten (if you can call him a little cousin when he’s nine inches taller than Nate) is one of the top-ranked players in the class of 2011. He’s also a cocky dude, although — a la Jadakiss – he says he’s not cocky, he’s confident.
When asked by Northstar Basketball in 2008 whether he considered himself to be the best player in his high school class, Wroten replied, “Yes, by far. I’m not saying that to be cocky, I’m just saying it to be confident. The reason why is because I can do it all, shoot, dribble, go to the hole, play defense.”
What NBA player would he compare himself to? “I’m like Magic Johnson basically.”
Umm, not quite. But Wroten can definitely play.
P.S. – Somebody get that kid at 0:24 some counseling and a new pair of ankles. He’s going to need them.
